All my sleeper trips in Europe were solo. I think the first was the most memorable - the night ferry train out of Victoria to the Continent. You're in the bed when the train goes on the ferry and you hear the huge chains. Great Marley's Ghost is the only analogy that came to me at the time.

Next morning and for the first time I set foot in Douce France.
