Does anyone at UP know how to railroad any more? And why are they just blindly following what the computer says?

Recent examples I have seen trying to trace cars inbound and outbound:

Cars moving entirely within Oregon - good news is Eugene might be getting unplugged (at least potentially by looking at the computer). Bad news - here is how they did it. They sent cars anywhere they could regardless of destination. A group of badly needed empties got sent to Roseville, which must be having issues of their own as it appears the train is tied down at "Sunwhiran" just outside Roseville since early am of the 7th, not due in the yard until maybe today. Then they'll come back north through to the same station they already sailed through on the 6th.

But a sister car takes the cake. It was received mechanical refrigeration repairs in Albany, OR - but it's not a reefer. Now it's headed for Roseville, CA also. Presently in Wyoming! It's getting from an Oregon origin to an Oregon destination via North Platte (as in Nebraska) then Roseville before coming back north!

And loaded cars seem to be subject to similar delays and misroutings. A group of cars ended up in Lake Yard and show interchanged to the Peninsula Terminal, which doesn't go anywhere near their expected destination of the Seattle area.

What in the HELL is going on??????????????? Is this how UP is gaining velocity be sending cars in circles?
