The Most Scenic

A few years ago, a leading magazine had a special artice about what was deemed the "most scenic"(CP Rockies), "widest"(Horseshoe Curve, PA) and things like the "most primitive"(Tehachapi) and "worst section of railroad (Rollins Pass) in a list.
I would think that "Most Scenic" would depend on personal taste, and found the area around Banff, AB was great because the vistas were for the most part, from both sides of the train. The most scenic? I have to disagree, as the old BC Rail from North Van - Squamish is, in my opinion, the most scenic.
A second choice for me would be the SP (now UP) Coast Line in California (it was SP's when I travelled it). I would imagine that UP's Blue Mountains would be nice, as well as Donner Pass and even SP's Superior Subdivision in Ontario.
Even the most popular places to photograph trains are nice from certain vantage points, but to be on the train it sometimes isn't the best view in comparison. Look at Beaumont or the Feather River Canyon.
But it is personal taste......
