UP had 10 SD7s, but no SD9s.

Don't know. They were assigned to local service in Utah and Wyoming before becoming hump units (with one being assigned to Pocatello). Conversely, they also had 30 GP7s, which did frequent Spokane.

The SD7s were retired in the late Seventies and early Eighties. The GP9 left between the mid Seventies to the late Eighties.
