Aaahhh, the conundrum of consolidation!

Question: How do you guys think the grain gets from the farm to the rail loading facilities in the first place?

Doesn't it seem rather odd that railroads are pushing for greater consolidation of rail load centers from the single car elevators to shuttle facilities, and at the same time trying to get the State and feds to decrease GVW limits for trucks, and otherwise complaining incessantly about those "evil" truckers?

Marie Antoinette has nothing on the railroad industry.

Just cake for thought.
