What the television failed to point out was the additional expense would have precluded even starting the route. What several links here have pointed out was that part of the line was scheduled to be realigned at some point in time when money became available. Realignment it is claimed would have doubled the budget which was not acceptable.

Somewhere in all the information posted here was a link to how the realignment would happen. I5 would have been affected when the new alignment was installed, which pushed the project onto the back burner for the moment. Money is always an issue, nobody wants to spend it, but everyone still wants the end product.
