My best chasing experience was with a l969 VW Bus Crewcab, along Midway Road between Durham and Richvale, back when 4449 was on its way, if I remember correctly, to New Orleans. In spite of the tremendous power of my rig, I could barely keep up! But wow, what a sight it was. Lots of smoke, steam and my engine reved up to the danger zone, ready to explode! That bus is gone now, got rid of it when my daughter and stepson began driving. It was a coffin on wheels, really only suitable for hauling produce to the farmers market. But it was a collectors item for sure, guys were always asking if it was for sale and for how much.
