I've driving the last 5 years to Centralia for work and was amazed that there was a 6 plus mile string of flats on TR/Frontier trackage from Blakeslee Junction past the Exit 88/Grand Mound interchange on I-5. Plus all the cars farther North. There were multiple trees down over some of the flats and when they finally cleared the track they had to clear all those trees.
I heard that most of those flats were scrapped, supposedly at the rail car facility in South Chehalis along I-5.
Any time I see WWR black locomotive it's either moving oil cars from Blakeslee to the siding at Grand Mound.
I've only seen them with box cars maybe three times in the last three years going to a siding in Chehalis.
I do agree with previous post, they have let the grass etc grow too much on this line; they aren't doing much maintenance that's for sure.
Off topic, does Frontier own the two former Red locomotives that were part of the lumber operation in Shelton? I saw them on the tracks couple times last spring/summer moving a longer string of oil tankers.
