Maybe paying your property taxes early is beneficial for you folks in CA and other high tax areas but where I live and for my tax situation I could barely justify itemizing my taxes under the old tax laws - now with the standard deduction doubled I'll probably never itemize again.

In RR predictions: CSX will come to its senses under the new CEO and stabilize its business; IPH will have a fire sale either of their own accord or under the auspices of a bankruptcy judge; GE will sell the locomotive division to an "investor group" who will then sell it again at a profit in a few years (sound familiar?); PTC will begin general system implementation with disastrous results.
