I have known and worked with the roadmaster of the North Coast railroad and the NWP. Frank Lovio. Frank never mentioned any problems with growers in the canyon. But it has gotten much worst since then. There have been murders around the Spyrock area. You don't want to be snooping around Bell Springs rd. in September - October. At least some of the tunnels are collasping because locals are stealing the 12x20 virgin redwood bents.
