The following comment from a Trains webpage is consistent with what I've heard about Wick Moorman. (The webpage discusses the photograph of the NS Heritage Units at the NC Transportation Museum north of Charlotte. I am familiar with several higher up railroad executives who are as interested.


A great big thank you goes out to my CEO, Wick Moorman for agreeing to have these units painted in these terrific paint schemes. I've met Mr. Moorman a couple of times during my career and can tell you the difference between him and the other class one CEO's is that he is a railfan just like us. Believe me, it took someone who actually loves and appreciates railroad history to spend the kind of money to make this happen. On top of that on one occasion he even told me he collects model trains too! How cool is that!
