thanks for suggesting the Oregon Rail Heritage Center George. Yes, we are open:
Thursday - Friday, 1 to 5
Saturday - Sunday, noon to 5
The Oregon Pacific Railroad runs on Saturdays beginning 3/3 out of ORHC with hourly runs beginning at 12:30 on their East Portland branch....cost I believe $10. ORHC is a pretty good viewing for the double track mainline of the Union Pacific (former SP). The project to install the former Brooklyn Roundhouse turntable has been approved and a project manager has been hired....

Other points of interest in Portland:
- the Tilliulm bridge, a nice walk, nice view
- Portland Streetcar
- MAX light rail lines
- Portland Union Station
- Willamette Shore Trolley (check their web site for operating info)
