There's just a bunch of ego maniacs! They refused a full shop BNSF built for them in San Bernardino after the main loco shop was closed by Santa Fe.
Also, whenever BNSF, Amtrak or Metrolink tell then the requirements, they LOVE to argue... They fail to understand they don't own the tracks they operate on is a VERY NICE gesture from the freight railroads and Metrolink.
Even San Diego Northern Railway has been nice to them. RailAmerica got very nice compliments from them after they slapped the 15mph restriction from the trip to Grand Canyon...
Was it the Arizona and California Railroad's obligation to host a big steam locomotive on the tracks THEY OWN? You tell me... I would be thankfull they did... and There's more...
Why can't they be nice with their own volunteers? Why cant they be nice the railroads that GO OUT OF THEIR WAY and host them?
If y'all think they are locking themselves to Redondo Roundhouse, then you're right... But they're also damaging the general image of rail preservation.
