Per capita? More often per 1,000,000 passenger/vehicle miles of travel, as a measure of relative risk. There is data on employee fatalities, passenger fatalities, trespasser fatalities, grade crossing fatalities.......all kinds of neat stuff here on all modes. And, there are many other good source like project lifesaver, for grade crossing accidents, injuries, and deaths.....
