There is some fascinating material on this post. The old newsreels are great.

I really liked the segment of UP Los Angeles Limited arriving in Riverside, Calif. on its first run with celebrants pelting passengers on the observation car rear platform with oranges!

There’s plenty of other steam railroading including one I really liked on the New York Central Hudson’s.

One particularly fascinating film was the renewal of a major junction with puzzle switches in Scotland
