Another RGRR / UP story: RGRR acquired a flatcar that had been in storage in the siding at Strasburg, CO (east of Denver). Much cajoling ensued to get the UP to pick the car up and start moving it to Canon City. Months (literally) go by. More calls finally result in a report that the car had in fact been picked up. More weeks go by..... no flatcar. The Denver yardmaster finally sends me a report, apparently generated by their car tracking system, that shows the car in Denver, then moving in a train to Pueblo, given to the Canon local and spotted on the customers track on a specific date and time. Still no flat car. A few calls later I come to find out that the car hasn't moved an inch from the siding in Strasburg! Really makes you wonder about the "car tracking system". The car finally arrived, unannounced, several weeks later. Thank you, UP.
