Laws Museum threaten by fire

The Pleasant Fire off Pleasant Valley Dam Road and Hwy 395, north of Bishop started last night and is now 900 acres. Evacuations are in place for the Meadow Creek Area, Pleasant Valley Campground, and Law’s Museum. Significant winds are hampering firefighting efforts, the fire is burning in the Pleasant Valley Reservoir Area heading toward Law’s Museum, Hwy 6 isclosed at Hwy 395 and Nevada State Line. Local Road Closures in effect: Pleasant Valley Rd., Brockman Rd. and Chalkbluff Rd
