The diesels represented in these videos are products of GM's European licensee, Nohab. They appeared originally in the 1950s, and were built for Denmark (My and Mx Classes), Norway (Di3 Class), Belgium (52 and 54 Classes), Luxembourg (1600 Class) and Hungary (M61 Class).

Some former Danish units were subsequently used by smaller regional railroads in the country, as well as in Germany and Sweden. Several former Norwegian units were used in Kosovo.

The units in the videos are a mix of both Hungarian and former Danish units, including one painted in an adaptation of the ATSF "Warbonnet". One of the former Danish units used in Sweden has appeared in the classic green-and-orange Great Northern scheme.
