Here's a Steve Schmollinger picture of the first run of the San Joaquin. They were numbered 710 Southbound, 711 Northbound.

The white-washed depot is a gorgeous ex-Santa Fe structure.

Jointed rail, wood ties, old brick platform. I like the old days.
