Quickly? Downtown to downtown can easily be 3-4 hours, what with getting to/from the airports, security, baggage claim, etc., etc., etc. And most of that is "wasted" time - can't do much else.
For a morning meeting, you have to get up oh so very early, or go the night before & get a room.
In any case, there are those who did use the Spirit of California when it was available.
My thought-experiment question is, for those who would use it -- better to go to San Francisco, or via Oakland to Sacramento?
