Official eastern end of the railroad is Milepost 3.3, which is still spray painted on the rail and ties a few sticks of rail west of the abrupt end of track. Milepost 0 in this case is at the switch at the north end of the McCloud yard.

Trivia for today- in the 1960s and maybe into the early 1970s a small stud mill, called Cowning's Mill, sat just on the east side of the Pilgrim Creek road crossing on the south side of the tracks. Not much left there to show it ever existed.
