This morning numerous trains arrived Roseville yard off of the valley sub. But no freights departed up toward Donner. I take it both mains were closed over Donner. Then a 2:00 pm overheard that one track main was open. Within an hour a long DP intermodal and a real long manifest with two pushers departed Roseville for Sparks and beyond. Good luck to the crews! Not wanting the snow in the gauge to knock the gladhands on the brake hoses apart. Amtrak 6 departed Roseville 10” down and arrived Truckee 1’19” down. I think UP did a excellent job of getting Amtrak through. The snow crews earn my respect. Amtrak 5 just arrived Roseville @ 4:40PM. Cal-P
