I was taking a ride through Ione this weekend and decided to take a ride down by the old SP interchange yard in town to see if the Amador Foothills S12 #10 was still around and it was indeed still there. It had a fence around it, the section of track it was on was isolated from the rest of the old yard, both headlights were missing, some hood doors were open and the cab door window was knocked out. Anyone know of any updates on this unit? Who owns it? Any idea of its future? Hate to see it waste away.
