That's not the purpose of this train. I can't recall the last time a special like this one, that was not steam related, has been gone from Omaha/C Bluffs for so long. No doubt UP has entertained shippers, port officials, local politicians, and labor leaders during this trip. When the train was in Long Beach they signed a contract to handle all the NYK and MOL container business BNSF's been handling for many years.
