55 miles Lakeview to Alturas - all excepted track (10 mph maximum) and mostly 75# rail. 5 mph on some of it - track you are definitely not in a hurry to get across, especially with loads.

Another 50 miles of excepted track Alturas to Perez, plus 2 hours for each additional trip to double/triple the hill. This was former SP/UP Modoc but was let slip to excepted track by previous operator despite the heavy rail.

So around 15-16 hours running time one-way with loads if only a double of the hill and if everything goes right. Limited places to access train and tie up without offending nearby neighbors, plus up to a 2 hour deadhead each way, so uses most of two days. All crews presently work out of Lakeview.

Schedule likely to change at some point depending on warm weather and track/bridge projects, likely shifting at least some of train operations to nights.
