I hear you on that, Sir! But there is one difference between Iowa Pacific and Progressive, and it is key in this situation. Progressive knows what they are getting into and plans for it. They know their niche, and do it well. They take a line with minimal traffic and do their best to at least get it to break even. They are experts in their niche.
Iowa Pacific's major malfunction is that Ed runs into an operation like a kid who just got his first trainset under the Christmas tree and runs the Tyco locomotive until it burns up not even thinking of anything else but the fun of "playing trains." And just like the parents who now have a 4x8 sheet of plywood with some fake trees to figure out where to store until Junior decides to play trains again, everyone from county governments to derailment cleanup firms sit around waiting on Junior to pay his bills.
