I don't think they expected the extremely negative reaction they are getting............ It seems to have caught them completely off guard...... And yet, it seemed like such a good idea......

According to the staffer I spoke with, you would only be "required' to have a "plan" to deal with "fake news". Defining what this "fake news" actually is, as opposed to opinion, or maybe even differences of opinion, honest conjecture and/or speculation, legitimate criticisms, or expressions of skepticism over the official "party line", by bloggers or citizens on the internet, gave them a real problem, for which this person had no real answer.

And David, just what your "plan" to deal with "fake news" would consist of, and any idea of exactly how your "plan" is supposed to prevent so-called "fake news", seemed to stump them completely..........

But, I kind of like your plan to deal with this proposed nonsense, David. That is to just ignore them, and refuse to comply, since it is an unconstitutional barrier to your rights as the editor of "your" free press.
