It took less than 10 minutes to edit the video. Nearly two hours to edit the audio. As you can see, I had stationary camera, which also recorded audio, and the device (in my case an iPad Mini 4) that runs the app to control the drone, records audio along with a lesser quality video.
Most of the audio was stripped from the video off the iPad, and the +-10 seconds of fairly even engine sounds was turned into about 40 seconds of engine sounds. The audio from the stationary camera was mixed with the audio clips from iPad.
Short of having the foresight (and ability) to get an audio recorder on the engine, I don't know of any other way to do this.
I'm sure professional audio engineers would have a good laugh at my attempts, but they would also have better material to work with in the first place.
