April 14th, 2018 is the 35th Anniversary of the Thistle, Utah landslide that severed the Rio Grande's mainline, and truncated the Rio Grande Zephyr to a Denver - Grand Junction run for its' last few weeks of operation. I was aboard that day, and the next day too on the detour back to Denver across Southern Wyoming ( yawn ) on the EwePee.
