Your right! I was on that train to. If anybody wants to dig into the Photographers Railroad Page, Archives, I wrote a story about my trip and took a grab shot out of the dome observation car. 2007. Titled, Last Zephyr to Salt Lake City. It's a bit long, but it still works. You might be able to link it here maybe. I'm not savy in that department....
I wrote another story, same place in 2008, Real Grand Day.
My money only got me to Grand Junction, but WHAT a trip. Out in the desert beyond Ruby Canyon, train westbound, there were two photographers on a sharp peak hill, left side of the train, the train in full sun. Sure would like to know who they were so I could get a print.
