He is trying to prove that him and his Fail Now bike buddies deserve to have an active freight railroad (and potential future passenger corridor) ripped out to create a nice trail with a view of the ocean for their riding pleasure, rather than be relegated to a dust bowl through farmland.
Hutch, thanks for posting this. Good to get a look at who this guy really is, uh, I guess. Even with a script (that you can hear being flapped around in the wind), he must have failed out of Public Speaking 101.
