This silly proposal is by a politician who represents the area that trail would be in, and who is angling for votes in this election year. And maybe so are some of the members of the California Senate Transportation and Housing Committee, whose 12-0 vote in favor of this completely unrealistic and impractical idea shows how out of touch with reality they all are.

As many of us know, no trail an be built there before a lot of very expensive environmental remediation is done, then there is the huge problem of building the trail in an area that is very unstable geologically.

This trail will never ever be built. It is far, far too impractical and expensive.
