Re: Slow construction of the Train To Somewhere

In the past I have said that the line was only going from nowhere to nowhere if one considered Republican districts to be nowhere. Check out where the valley line is being built. I also said that Fresno was over 1/2 million in population and Bakersfield 250,000.

I haven't been keeping up. Bakersfield is about to pass 400,000. It is bigger than St. Louis, Pittsburgh or Tampa. California, and I mean the whole state, is gentrifying. The poor and retirees are moving to Texas, Arizona and Nevada and the educated young are moving in. The latter are those earning five figure salaries and paying astronomical prices for housing.

But look on the bright side, all those Californians moving to Texas are changing the way that state thinks. Why they actually expect services and consideration of their fellow man. Ain't life interesting.
