Wilmington had the aromas of crude oil and creosote.
The structure at left distant handled treated timber piles for pier work, IIRC
Postwar Catalina Specials were known for running with several Blimps, including a combo.
Combo 498 exists at Perris, 496 [I think] survived as a hulk in PE colors at Morgan Yard [ I am remembering that it was Fairbank at the end of the line, but perhaps they changed places in my memory] PE colors meant orange letterboard.
