The Oakdale Local uses the BNSF main from Stockton to Riverbank, then the Oakdale Spur to its namesake town. The SP's Oakdale Branch used to leave the main at Stockton and at one time re-connected with the main at Merced. The big bridge just outside Oakdale is gone, as is everything else except what's in Oakdale. A mile or so at the Merced end became Santa Fe's "Cement Spur," but I believe that's gone now. One interesting detail about the SP branch was that it crossed the Highway 99 freeway at grade in Stockton.
