Anon, I had the same experience from the officer who came to the E.R. The difference I had was They wanted me to take a drug test "first" before the E.R. I said I would do it after the doctor makes his findings which was quite apparent do to the injury I received that was serious! My understanding is all the carriers work this way now. Once you have a on duty injury you are a problem and no matter how you worked injury free they want you off the property for good.
