You are close to understanding the crux of the CAca HSR tomstupidry.
It can't be all things to all folks.
Commute, and HiSpeed are polar opposites.
Start Stop requires time and distance to accelerate -decelerate for living things.
That plus dwell means substantial diminution of overall speed, and THAT means
the money that is being flushed away or pissed into the wind would be exponentially better spent on projects enumerated by BOBtwice [LISTEN UP] . Money [well] spent on those projects would create as many real jobs, probably benefit more actual workers proportional to the gummint graspers and grafters, and benefit more actual citizens , taxpayers, and maybe sanctuarians than the CAcaFiasco
And a last point
If folks [and you know which I mean really give a cowpie, why not jobs in , oh say, the SJV, so the masses can afford to live, don't have to spend so much on commute, etc, instead of bloating 'Sillicone Valley"
Meantime, Nuke the Bay Area, Sacramento, and because the Mouse is probly listening,
Tejon Ranch
