BTW - Track gangs off for long weekend. In the last week I've seen a gang with two track hoes replacing switch ties west of LaGrande, two or three tamper/regulator pairs surfacing track east of Baker City in the Pleasant Valley region, and there is clearly a tie gang working somewhere between LaGrande and Baker City. Once they're back to work presumably next week, motel rooms and RV spaces may be at a premium around Baker City.
