Dick before i retired from the CCT we had two trucks taken. The signal maintainers truck when he had it running to power an inverter for a drill while he worked on a signal case sand as the thief drove off he took the drill with him down the road. Out Locomotive and equipment mechanic was driving near by called the police and sheriff and they found the truck minus all the tools and signal materials. 2nd theft was the manager of track and equipment 2500 crew cab hy-rail which the took from his driveway about 0001 and the CHP found the truck 2 days later about 80 miles from Stockton drivers widnow broken, ignition switch punched out and the Hy-Rail gear smashed in on the front and back. They tool all the tool boxes and tools and the hydraulic power pack and some hydraulic tools and a torch set. We did get the hydraulic equipment back when it was found at a flea market but never recovered the rest of the stuff.
All the vehicles then get anti theft systems and a LoJack tracker.
I hope they catch the thieves and that you are allowed to meet out the 1st part of the punishment and that they do not destroy the great looking rig.
