Trains Magazine in 2018

TRAINS Magazine is attempting to straddle the divide between a railfan publication and a trade journal. There are no longer enough advertisers to support a publication directed solely at the dwindling number of railroad enthusiasts. The revenue to sustain continued publication must come from ads directed at professional railroad managers. I think Jim Wrinn has done a good job serving both the fan and the professional (Sometimes they are the same person)
