Central California Traction Company 1501 thunders through the community of Morada with twenty-four cars on the drawbar. The pronounced resonance of 1501's roaring diesel engine earned the attention of several rambunctious children at a close by pool party.

At daybreak, a refreshing weather system released one-third of an inch of precipitation on the Stockton area. A leaden sky endured for the remainder of this unseasonably cool day in late May.
