There is quite a bit of info out there if you look, including many self made videos by Westerners who rode the train. One very admirable thing in the film is that they don't fall into the superlative trap of calling it the heaviest train in the world, just among the heaviest. I don't mind the closeups at all, and notice how small the fires are that they build, fuel is very precious in the Sahara.
