The strongest rumblings on the future of the line had BNSF taking it back. That's a bit of a head scratcher for me, but stranger things have happened in this industry. But there's not really anything I've seen up there in the way high-value business that BNSF may want to protect in the face of difficult conditions for shortline operators.

I did hear that Progressive Rail and Carload Express took a look at the line, but it does not seem to be generating a high interest level, not surprisingly. That is some tough infrastructure to maintain with a whole lot of nothing between revenue customers.
