Only regularly schedule freights are the Pueblo-Dodge City (PUEDDC/DDCPUE) and the Dodge City-Kansas City (KCKDDC/DDCKCK) trains. There is an almost daily auto train (VKCKDEN) west bound and a less frequent east auto empties. During harvest season there are up to two daily unit grain trains originated and a unit coal train once a week, or so, to the Sunflower power plant in Holcomb, KS from La Junta. Locals work out of Dodge and La Junta. Plus Amtrak, or course. Pretty slim pickins'.
