Pacific Northwest Double Header Momories 844/4449

I was watching a video this past weekend of the UP 844 & SP 4449 doubleheader trip back in spring 2007 and cannot believe this was already over 10 years ago now. I rode on their public excursion from Tacoma to Everett and back and had a blast. Was fun meeting some of the people on the two steam crews while they were on display at UP's Fife yard including both Steve Lee and Doyle McCormack together there at the same time next to the Daylight. It made me think as I have seen other people post on other past online discussions that it is too bad the UP does not have both the UP 844 and SP 4449 meet nose to nose in Ogden next year for the 150th party. Oh well... I look forward to whatever next adventures both these locomotives have in their futures including seeing the UP 4014 Big Boy come to life in 2019.
