As long as the stock is doing well, and paying a VERY NICE dividend, the vast majority of stockholders/shareholders could care less. There are always a few radicles, who maybe own 100 shares, that always want to promote their own agenda at the annual stockholder's meeting, but they don't usually get very far, and even they aren't interested in a "steam program".
