On the 29th of June, it was a busy day at the Niles Canyon Railway's Brightside Yard. It was on this day that the Golden Gate Railroad Museum was supposed to move their equipment off the Niles Canyon Railway's property and over to Hearst sding to be interchanged with the UPRR. Unfortunately, volunteers of the railways woke up to find that UPRR had canceled the equipment move and therefore hindering any equipment from being moved to Hearst. Equipment that was to be shuttled to Hearst was on the main at Brightside and needed to be cleared for the 7/1/18 excursion train. To clear up this blockage, it was decided to move some of the cars to the Niles Wye for temporary storage. First former SP 1423 was used to move some cars around on the yard track before SP 5623 was used to haul the cars on the main to the Wye. When UPRR reschedules, I should be out there to document the move from Brightside to Hearst.
