Chicago Transit Authority

I recently spent a weekend in Chicago. I rode the Southwest Chief from Albuquerque and back. That ride on Amtrak was the LOW point of the trip, but that's another story. My hotel had a coffee shop-lounge on the floor adjacent to the El, in the Loop. I spent a total of perhaps two hours there and was surprised in the fact that I saw NOT ONE SPECK OF GRAFFITI on any CTA train the entire time. Is this common now? Is there a ray of hope for humanity?
