Yes, the band commonly known as Chicago released their 1st album under the Chicago Transit Authority name, however The Powers That Be at CTA raised a fuss over the unauthorized use of their trademarked name.
Then there's Led Zeppelin's manager going after Little Roger & The Goosebumps for their parody song Stairway to Gilligan's Island. Look it up on Youtube for a good laugh.
