That jogged a memory, back (long ago) when the city of LA was planning to build an Intercontinental airport in Palmdale, wasn't part of the plan to build some sort of high-speed rail to downtown LA from Palmdale? My memories are getting fuzzy sometimes, but seems like they were talking about the brand-new technology of 300-mph MagLev's at the time?
